Science Fiction-Space Pirates (Closed)

This is the first RP I will be conducting so, bare with me. I am new at this!!

Anywho, as you can see by the title it is a Space Pirate RP. This is the age of flying cars and various other machines, thousands of galaxies are open for the discovering and there is unrest on the planet of Earth. An uprising has occurred and any sort of civil government has collapsed. The military has fallen apart at the seems and complete anarchy reigns the streets. A small band of misfits joins forces with the infamous Captain Athena Blade a agent working for the government at the time. She had achieved great lengths in her career and single handedly helped stop a war with an alien race. This is where you come in.

Your character will be aboard The Creed. A crew ship big enough for thirty or more people, and your task as her crew is to work with her as bounty hunters. Your jobs are to do what other people do not want to do. In reference to Star Wars, sort of like Han Solo. More details about your job and things later. As a part of her crew you will pick a certain task that your character will be good at and can contribute to the team. Sorry kids, only humans allowed. And another thing, about the occupation I hope see military backgrounds, paramilitary (aka Special Ops), police officers, techies, nurses, doctors, even politicians. Be creative, have fun. Name: Jason Mcmormick 

Age: 19

Sexual orientation: Straight

Occupation: unemployed / previous career mercenary

Skills: Proficient with all firearms. specializes in heavy weaponry. Excellent at mauy Thai and Brazilian jui jitsu. Good at talking himself out of hairy situations.

Weaknesses: Quick to anger. Complete lack of respect for authority. Will do anything for his girlfriend Vianna. Horrible at driving/piloting. Computer illiterate. Powerful mercenary company trying to hunt him down and kill him.

Appearance: Well built. Military cut short brown hair. Very beautiful bone structure. Tattoo on wrist with his mercenary companys insignia on it, A red battle axe encased in a circle of flames. Tattoo on the side of his neck that says "live fast die young" in thick black lettering. 6 foot 3 inches tall.

Background: Jason met Vianna when he was 12 years old right after her mother died of lung cancer. She was homeless and no one to take care of her so Jason's mother took her in and started caring for her. Money was always tight in there household with only one person working and taking care of four other children besides Jason and Vianna. As Vianna and Jason grew older they got closer and eventually started dating.

When Jason was 17 he signed up with one of the most notorious mercenary groups known as "The Reavers" although at the time he wasn't aware of there horrible reputation and saw it as a chance to make some money so eventually he and Vianna could move out together and start a new life. His career didn't last long though.

About two months before signing up with The Creed he walked in on his commanding officer and two other men in his company raping and severely beating a young girl during a raid. He killed them all on the spot and tryed to help the girl but he had no medical training and she had severe injuries so she ended up dying shortly thereafter.

After this he went on the run from his old employers and signed up with The Creed to keep himself on the move and still make money for his future life. Unfortunately his commanding officer was the grandson of the leader of The Reavers and they continue to search for him for retribution.

Name: Commander James Amend


Age: 30


Sexual Orientation: Bi-Sexual


Occupation: Ex commander in the Navy before joining Captain Athena


Skills: He is proficient with all weapons and is especially good at close quarters combat, but specialize combat medicines and procedures. He is very disciplined and years on the battle field has taught him to be cool headed in combat.


Weaknesses: He is Xenophobic. He also has a mechanical left ear and a mechanical left eye. If someone sets off an EMP he loses functionality with both implants.


Appearance: He is 6'2 with a completely shaved head and green eyes. He is well built, but huge cuts and really bad burn marks have disfigured the left side of his head. The burns travel all the way down his side, left arm, and left leg.


Brief Background: James was born on a military base in Norway but grew up in different bases in Europe. His dad was a solider in the military and his mother was a medic. He joined the Navy as soon as he possibly could and was picked right out of boot camp to join the special forces. In the special forces training he showed a natural ability with medicines because his mother had showed him everything she knew. He was picked to be his squads combat medic. While he was in the special forces he was sent on a mission to gather intelligence on an alien race that was expected to start a war with the humans. The mission went horribly wrong when the squad leader stepped on a mine and they were ambushed. James was right next to the explosion and the heat scorched the left side of his body and shrapnel flew by cutting his already burnt face. He was only saved when the rest of the team fought the ambush away. He barely survived that encounter, but with modern medicine he was able to continue his career in the Navy. After that he served under a new captain and her name was Athena Blade. He has served under her for years and she has saved his life an uncountable number of times and he has grown extremely loyal to her.

Why you joined the crew: After serving with Athena Blade for a couple of years he became extremely loyal to her and wanted to continue to serve under her command so he Joined The Creed.

Age: 12 years old


Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual


Occupation: Gang member/ scout


Skills: Dal is very streetwise in general, knowing when to get out of hairy situations and specialises in street fighting, often using dirty tactics. He also knows sign language and excels in stealthy or quiet approaches, although has speed and endurance when it is needed. Despite being young, he is a first-class scout


Weaknesses: Because of deformed vocal chords, Dal is unable to communicate verbally. He is new to anything outside the city and is physically weak compared to most. Angers easily over any comment to do with his relationship with his parents and isn't the brightest.


Appearance: Standing just over 5ft tall, Dal is pale and scrawny, with long, shoulder-length hair. He wears a large grey hoodie, with sleeves rolled up, that has the symbol of a pair of black wings, which symbolises freedom. Usually seen grinning widely, his also has heterochromia iridium, which means his left eye is green and his right eye is blue.


Brief Background: At a young age, Dal was orphaned because of his inability to speak. He was left on the streets to fend for himself, until a local gang brought him in and excepted him as one of their own. He stayed there for most of his life, participating in many, usually illegal, practises until he gained an interest in the wider world.


Why you joined the crew: To find new experiences. And snuck on. ((Hope that's alright))

Name: Jack Cruthers


Occupation: Politician


Skills: Very good at talking to people and getting them on his side. He is very intelligent and perceptive. He also can grab things with his toes.


Weaknesses: Not at all a fighter, meaning not strong and not tough. He has no experience with guns whatsoever.


Appearance: He has bright blue eyes, and darkish blond hair. He is not hairy, and shaves well. He is white and american. He dresses in a gentleman's suit with a bullet-proof vest under. He is very hot.


Brief Background: Jack was born in Miami, Florida. He was raised in a very rich family, but had a father who wasn't there for him. His father, Buford, was a drunk. His disbelief for Jack was a great influence on Jack becoming a politician. Another was Jack not wanting other children dealing with this abuse. Jack won and had still been the diplomat when the war started, and changed his world forever. During the storming of his house he contacted a relatively close group of bounty hunters. He offered his services to The Creed if they saved him from the mob of angry citizens.



Why you joined the crew: The Creed saved him so he joined the group.

Name: Orlena “Lena” Franks

Age: 15

Sexual Orientation: Still figuring all that out. Let’s call this her experimental phase.

Occupation: thief/scavenger/miscellaneous repairs

Skills: Picking pockets, repairing/operating miscellaneous gadgetry& discerning intentions (intuitive knowledge of undisclosed truths of others –if that needs clarification let me know). Lena is also good at hiding and running, but not at the same time. Instinctively convincing liar.

Weaknesses: Not much of a fighter. Hand to hand combat leaves her totally screwed. Often makes snap, emotionally-driven decisions. Compulsive, instinctive liar (yes, I know, it’s listed as a skill as well)

Appearance: Lithe and of average height and weight. ) has average length (short in the back, long up front) black hair with occasional clusters of purple. This is not dyed hair but one of the side effects of the atmosphere on her home planet. (does it have to be Earth? If so, I can blame pollution levels.) She has a small boxed face with large pale blue eyes, thin lips, and a small but crooked nose. She has a small pink scar on the left side of her face that runs diagonally from near her ear lobe and towards the corner of her eye. Generally she hides this with a few wisps of hair.

Brief Background: Orlena’s parents were killed while saving the life of a very important government official. Actually that’s bullshit. The truth is, Orlena has no knowledge of her parents whatsoever. She grew up in an orphanage. If you know that much about her you’ve probably heard about how cruel it was and how hard her life was. But that’s a lie too. The orphanage took care of her and treated her well, but she was discontent and often ran from the place to explore the city. On her last bit of exploring she ran into a bit of trouble.

Why you joined the crew: Lena ran into some trouble when she stole several items in the market. The guards/officials/whatever were after her and she had to move. She hid from them in a stack of crates near the loading docks and snuck aboard The Creed in an attempt to escape her fate. Hiding amongst the various crates of supplies, it was more than a full day before she was found out.
In attempting to expel her from the ship, (being vague here so as not to over-assume the level of technological capacity of your universe) one of the devices that a crewman/woman attempted to use failed. Lena walked over and took it from the crewperson’s hand, opened it, fixed it, and handed it back. Before the crewman could make use of the device (to kill her, I assume) Captain Blade belayed the order, deciding that Orlena might of some use after all.

Name: Garian Jorell

Age: 30

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Occupation: Ex-soldier, Terran Marines

Skills: Weapon specialist, able to fix and repair weapons and armor (it may be cruel salvage, but it'll work), good at hot wiring vehicles, and driving heavy armor.

Weaknesses: Can't fix anything else if his life depended on it, likes to pick fights, horrible driver of anything other than heavy armor, remorseless.

Appearance: Short black hair, sky-blue eyes, tanned skin, black boots, Brown long-coat, white t-shirt, blue jean pants, brown gloves, a silver cross around his neck.

Brief Background: Garian was part of the Terran marines, heavily trained soldiers who tend to protect the ships they're stationed on. Garian was in charge of the U.S.S Yorkian when things got messy during a botched hijacking attempt that left many dead, many more wounded, and Garian being fully blamed and dishonorably discharged. It was a couple of years later when he came across the pirate crew and offered to bring his expertise with him and join up.

Why you joined the crew: After being discharged, every job he tried to take afterwards found his records and refused him anything, several took the chance to beat on him. When he found 'The Creed' he decided that with no where else to go, he might as well take a job with those he was ordered to kill, mainly because they were more or less outcasts like him.
